Anime's "My Hero Academia ULTIMATE SCENE RANKING" global fan voting project also launched
On Tuesday, it was announced on the official website of the My Hero Academia anime that the eighth and final season will begin on October 4th with its key visual being released at the same time.
The season will debut on October 4 at 5:30 p.m. JST on YTV and NTV 's affiliate channels.
The anime's staff also launched ( link ) The "My Hero Academia ULTIMATE SCENE VOTING PROJECT" is a special event where fans from around the world can cast their votes for their favorite scenes from the anime's seven seasons. This project is open until September 15th, and the results will be revealed during the premiere of the final season on October 4th.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide excluding Asia as it airs in Japan.
The team is coming back for another season, with notable members such as Chief Director Kenji Nagasaki, Director Naomi Nakayama, Script Supervisor Yōsuke Kuroda, Character Designers Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima, Composer Yuki Hayashi, and Studio BONES all included in the lineup.
In March 2023, it was revealed that the seventh season of My Hero Academia would follow the conclusion of the sixth season. In April 2024, a four-episode special featuring new scenes called My Hero Academia Memories premiered. This special marked the beginning of the seventh season, which started with episode 139 of the overall anime. The anime was broadcast on YTV and NTV on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m., while Crunchyroll provided streaming services as it aired.
The movie "My Hero Academia: You're Next" is the fourth installment of the popular anime series of the same name. It was released in Japan last August and was shown in various formats such as IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema. In the United States, it was released on October 11th by TOHO International. Additionally, the Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases of this movie were made available on February 19th in Japan, featuring a bonus anime short titled "A Piece of Cake".

Viz Media released the English version of the manga both digitally and in print in North America. Additionally, Shueisha's MANGA Plus service published the English version of the manga digitally. Finally, on December 4th, the 42nd and final compiled book volume was released, containing 38 pages of new content that took place after the original ending.
My Hero Academia Vigilantes is a spinoff manga series created by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court that premiered on April 7 on Tokyo MX and BS NTV channels in Japan. Crunchyroll is streaming the series worldwide except for Asia, and it also has an English dub available. There will be a second season of the anime in 2026.
