Episodes 6-12 to start streaming weekly on December 26 with themes songs by Ado
On Tuesday, Disney+ Japan released the complete Cat's Eye anime series based on Tsukasa Hōjō's manga. The trailer announced that the first six episodes would be available on Disney+ 's Star brand in Japan from September 16th to October 31st. The remaining six episodes will be released weekly starting from December 26th, 2025 until January 30th, 2026.
In the video preview, Ado sings a version of Anri's "Cat's Eye" theme song from the 1983 anime series. Additionally, it is shown that Ado will be performing the ending theme song "Magic," which was previously announced in the trailer.
The manga that was previously published by Abrams ComicArts under their Kana imprint will be released in print as an omnibus edition with new English translations on September 9th.
Hojo's Cat's Eye manga centers on three sisters who run a cafe by day, and are notorious art thieves by night. The manga ran from 1981 to 1985, and inspired two television anime seasons by Tokyo Movie Shinsha . The first 36-episode season aired between 1983-1984, and the second 37-episode season aired from 1984-1985. Coamix released the manga in English on it and Imagineer 's MangaHotto ( MangaHot ) app and website in July 2024.
The anime was created due to inspiration from the franchise. It was released worldwide on Amazon Prime Video in January 2023. This project marked both the 50th anniversary of Lupin III anime and the 40th anniversary of Cat's Eye anime.
The French TV show "Miraculous" was based on a Japanese manga. It started airing on TF1 and TF1 + in France on November 11th. It also became available for streaming internationally on Amazon Prime Video on December 18th. Amazon is collaborating with Big Band Story in producing this show. There are eight episodes in total, each lasting for 52 minutes. This show takes place in modern times in 2023. It has been renewed for a second season on TF1 in France.
