The Korean government's cultural department along with KOCCA revealed that there are 26 webtoons in contention for the 2025 World Webtoon Awards on September 1st.

The nominated webtoons, including three manga, are:

- ELECEED
- Study Group
- Lookism
- Get Schooled
- Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint
- Maru Is a Puppy
- Father, Unrivaled
- Mirae's Antique Shop
- Debut or Die!
- My In-Laws Are Obsessed With Me
- Myst, Might, Mayhem
- Castle 2: Pinnacle
- Like Mother, Like Daughter
- Tomorrow's #1: Lovely Runner
- Return of the Mad Demon
- Jungle Juice
- Shaman
- Tomorrow
- Tears on a Withered Flower
- Senpai is an Otokonoko
- Savior of Divine Blood
- Odd Girl Out
- Shidome no Otto (The Fourth Husband)
- Grim Reaper
- Our Blooming Nine-Ties


On October 22, there will be a closing event for the competition at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul. Out of the 26 candidates, 10 winners will be chosen by the jury, including the Grand Prize and Jury Chairman's Award. This year's jury is led by veteran filmmaker Hyun-se Lee and includes 10 professionals from various fields such as creators, critics, academics, and industry leaders.

For the very first time in this occasion, there will be a Reader's Choice Award that is decided by worldwide fans through online voting. This voting process will continue until October 21 on our official website. Fans can vote once per week in eight different rounds, and they will have the chance to win prizes as well.

The World Webtoon Festival is taking place at Lotte World Ice Rink in Seoul from October 19th to 22nd. This event coincides with a ceremony. During this festival, visitors can enjoy special exhibitions, pop-up shops, and interactive programs that showcase the diversity of Korean webtoons for both fans and newcomers alike.
